The rate booked through their website included a delicious breakfast at a cheaper price, which was a great deal. The location was superb, with classic Victorian hunting lodge-style communal rooms that were cosy and inviting. The staff, especially Peter the barman and the Scottish girl who assisted him, were outstanding. The hotel offered free wi-fi in public areas, on-site car park, luggage storage, bar/lounge area, restaurant. The surrounding area provided plenty of activities like hiking, cycling, canoeing, and fishing. The continental breakfast was tasty. No pets were allowed on site, and it was a smoke-free property.

It was a wonderful stay and everything was just right. But "the cherry on the cake" was the hot bed bottle in the evening.

During my recent stay, I had the pleasure of staying in the Majestic room at 1887 Suite. The view of the mountains, loch, and highland cows from my room was absolutely breathtaking. But what truly made it magical was the sound of the nearby river, which I could listen to while taking a relaxing bath in the beautiful tub. The service at the hotel was exceptional, with every staff member being friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the perfectly cooked eggs Benedict and porridge. The flavors and textures of the dinners at both restaurants were truly amazing. I also loved the elegant ambiance of the drawing room while enjoying tea and scones. Exploring the gardens and entering the green house was a must-do, with the indescribable smell of every vegetable and flower. The location of the hotel was perfect for visiting places like Skye, with delicious sandwiches prepared for our daily excursions. And let's not forget the amazing touch of finding tunnocks in our room every day! Moreover, the tiny surprise over our bed each night added an extra touch of delight to our stay.

What we loved about the Torridon was that it was warm and homey, well organized, staff were very helpful and courteous and that it was elegant and lovely. Only thing we didn't like was being told that because we were only staying one night, we couldn't get the best tables in the restaurant. Our dinner was excellent but there were other tables in the section with windows which were empty when we arrived. And my husband, Brian, had to argue for a good table for breakfast. other than that, it was wonderful. Thank you.

How to imagine a dignified country hotel
There was really nothing to complain about

Loved relaxing in the cozy Beinn Bar, enjoying Scottish drinks by the fire. Impressive breakfast with delicious options. Savored the farm-to-table dishes at 1887. The location in the Highlands was a refreshing escape. Enjoyed a dram in the Whisky Bar.
Couldn't find any flaws in this heavenly place, it's just too perfect. Not even a single tiny thing to complain about.

Our stay at the torridon hotel was second to none. From the time of arrival and from the time leaving the staff could not do more for you. Warm and friendly atmosphere and the details and the location lived up to its reputation. I would most definately return to this hotel again in the future and would highly recommend it to our friends and family
I suppose if anything 4 drinks at the bar appeared quite over priced at £29.50. Expected the drinks to be more than a standard hotel but it was a good job we are only social drinkers. Should have queried the bar tender in case it was a mistake!

A highlight in the Scottish hotel landscape. Everything was thought through here. Whether that was the vanity mirror in the bathroom or the hot water bottle at night. Incredibly thoughtful, wonderful, attentive staff and a very good evening menu. The rooms are lovingly decorated and very comfortable. Many reasons to come back.

We had an amazing and relaxing stay in a castle-like hotel nestled by the mountains. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were very comfortable. We loved the whisky bar with its wide selection of rare drams. the location was unbeatable, with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. the nearby pub also provided a lovely setting for meals. it was an excellent experience, although quite expensive.
The cooked breakfasts were disappointing, with poor quality egg benedict and lumpy porridge.

The location was breathtaking, the hotel well appointed and the staff solicitous without being obtrusive The food was first class and the ambiance warm and not too formal. The Inn offered alternative meal and atmosphere choices and an excellent range of real ales though these paled to insignificance in comparison with the Malts available in the main bar. And the Malt with breakfast porridge was exquisite! A great all round Highland Experience

The hotel had a beautiful setting on the shores of a loch with amazing views from every window. The bathroom in our room was one of the best we've had in a hotel. The bar had a great selection of gin and whiskey, including the hotel's own gin made from ingredients from their garden.
Room had a weird bar over the shower and no bath. Rust marks on the carpet, scuffed wallpaper, and dusty blinds.

The nice friendly greeting, log fires and complementary afternoon tea was served on arrival really nice touch. Beautiful bedroom and breakfast was old fashion style as in we were fully waited on.
